28th August, 2015

UK based actor / presenter / comedian Eddie Kadi is to perform his first one man show in five years. Gearing up to return to the big stage, the Congolese born talent talks exclusively to MTV Base about the upcoming show.

"This is my first one man show in five years since the O2. So a lot has happened and I feel like I have a lot more of me to share! You will experience a lot more Eddie. First time in Hackney Empire, my home of comedy!"

A rising personality at the time, a fairly unknown Kadi made history back in 2010 when he became the first black UK comedian to headline a show at London's O2 Arena.

"The O2 was a career high for me and it gave me a platform to reach out to people I couldn't reach before."

Previously joined by a celebrity filled audience and surprise guests including Tinie Tempah, the comedian says his return will follow the same format.

"I like to show the different sides to Eddie. The Comedian, actor and presenter. Having special guests in the show brings out other sides to me. Apart from the amazing live band The Composers, I will be joined by some talented leaders of our generation and we will have a laugh!"

Eddie Kadi's quick wit and effortlessly relatable comedic flair along with his unique way of merging comedy with music and other forms of entertainment is sure to keep this Congolese go getter in the history books. It is a family show. So feel free to bring your children, your grandparents. There is something for everyone!"
