Johannesburg, 31 March 2017

Tomorrow is the funniest day of the year, April Fool’s day. To celebrate this day and to support Comedy Central’s #MakeLifeFunnier campaign, the number one comedy channel in the world decided to undertake the first Comedy Central Humour online survey.

Comedy Central’s first humour survey into who and what makes South Africans laugh revealed that Suzelle DIY, John Vlismas, Jeannie D, Trevor Gumbi & Donovan Goliath are the funniest TV presenters.

Roast Battle Africa and the Big Bang Theory are amongst the programmes that made us laugh the hardest with Darren ‘Whackhead’ Simpson, Gareth Cliff, Fresh and Skhumba the funniest DJs on air.

Says Dillon Khan, Vice President of Comedy Central for Viacom International Media Networks Africa: “We’ve always known that South Africans can laugh at themselves – now we know who else they find funny! Congratulations to all those who featured in our survey – keep doing what you do and keep making life funnier for us all.”

The top 5 winners in the first ever Comedy Central humor online survey are:
